James F. Watson Jr., 67, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, October 2, 2022, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after an illness with his family by his side.
Born in Roxbury on March 16, 1955, he was the son of the late James and Ellen (Severance) Watson. James was a Mechanic employed by Ken Stewart for many years prior to his retirement.
James loved cars and especially loved to work on them. He enjoyed playing cards and relaxing watching television. James’ greatest joy in life was time spent with his family, treasuring their special moments together.
James is survived by his wife of 44-years Donna (Aiken) Watson; a son, James Watson, III and his wife Adrienne of Winchendon; two daughters, Tangela Leger and her husband Joe of Gardner and Renee Watson of Gardner; eight grandchildren, Derek, Arieana, Kai, Axel, Mya, and Emma Watson, Jace Leger and Noah Watson; three brothers, Tony, Paul, and Ronald; four sisters, Beverly, Linda, Sheila, and Leona; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Donna, DeDe, Ida, and Vanessa.
