James P Montville

James P. “Jim” Montville, 50, of Fitchburg, died peacefully Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in Beth Israel Hospital of Boston, surrounded by his family.

            Jim was born in Gardner on March 10, 1968, the son of the late Raymond S. and Mamie H. (Bezio) Montville.

            He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1986, and earned his Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from Mount Wachusett Community College of Gardner in 1988. He was employed for several years as a Mechanic and Auto Parts Salesperson for Herb Chambers Porsche of Burlington, MA.

            Jim was a member of Holy Spirit Church of Gardner.

            He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved fixing cars, and he treasured spending time with his family. Jim was involved in the Boy Scouts of America and attained the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

            Jim leaves his wife of 27 years, Thomina S. Montville; son, Robert J. Montville of Gardner; daughter, Jessie T. Montville and her fiancé, Adam Page of Durham, NH; brothers, Thomas M. Montville of Gardner and Daniel J. Montville of Austin, TX; aunt, Denise Strom of CT; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

            Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.

            A calling hour will be held Friday, December 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Battens Disease Support and Research Association, 1175 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215. Please reference in memory of James Montville.
