J. Roger LeBlanc

December 7, 1941 — March 1, 2020

J. Roger LeBlanc, 78, of Gardner, died peacefully, Sunday, March 1, 2020, in UMass Memorial Medical Center Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.

Born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, on December 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Fidele and Rita (Richard) LeBlanc. He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1961. He was employed by George Bent Co., as an upholsterer for 18-years before his retirement in 2004.

He was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He loved and cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Roger is survived by one daughter, Julie Aho of Gardner; three brothers, Paul LeBlanc and his wife Julie of New Brunswick, Canada, Guy LeBlanc and his wife Kathy of Clinton, Utah, Norman LeBlanc and his wife Rose-May of Gardner; one sister Andrea Cormier and her husband John of Gardner; three grandchildren Davantae, Malachi, and Tianna; two sisters-in-law Jeannita and her husband Valmond Ouellet of Gardner, and Ella Cormier and her significant other Dennis Savoie of Templeton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife Claudette M. (Pellerin) LeBlanc, who died in 1999, and one son Yvon J. LeBlanc who died in 1983.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 6, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Family and friends are asked to report directly to the church on the day of the service. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner at a later date at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.
