Irma M. (Robichaud) Cormier, 84, of Gardner died peacefully Friday, October 27, 2017 in her residence surrounded by family, following a brief illness.
Born in St. Paul de Kent, N.B., Canada on November 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Cormier) Robichaud.
Irma was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was also a member of Dame de Saint Anne of Canada.
A loving wife and mother, most of all she valued her time spent with family. Irma also greatly enjoyed social activities with friends including bowling, playing cards, dancing, and going out to dinner. In previous years, she liked travelling and spending time in their motor home. Irma and her husband spent 18 winters in their Port Orange, Florida residence.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Gerald A. Cormier of Gardner; four daughters, Gloria Martel and her husband Greg of Ettlingen, Germany, Rose Swigart and her companion Michael Bourgeois of Raleigh, NC, Jeannine Cormier of Thomasville, NC, and Lisa Briscoe and her husband Houston of Rockville, MD; two sisters; Florine Barrieau and her husband Antoine of Gardner and Bernice Maillet and her husband Leo of Daytona Beach, FL; two brothers; Ronald Robichaud and his wife Jeanne of Cornelia, GA and Willie Robichaud and his wife Elise of Zephyrhills, FL; two grandchildren, Emma Kessinger and Hannah Enhelder; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Irma was predeceased by her son, Vincent Cormier who died in 1962.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 31st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
