Imelda R. LeBlanc

October 25, 1932 — January 4, 2019

                Imelda R. “Melda” (Allain) LeBlanc, 86, of Baldwinville, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, January 4, 2019 in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, surrounded by her family.

            Born in Moncton, NB, Canada on October 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Fidele and Virginia (Lirette) Allain.

            Imelda was employed as a finisher by Heywood-Wakefield Company of Gardner for many years. She was previously employed by George B. Bent Company of Gardner.

            Imelda was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.  She loved making poutines and rapee, and playing Bingo. She enjoyed the many years of being a devoted caretaker for Mrs. Cohen and Mrs. Courtemanche; and she loved spending time with her family.

            Imelda was predeceased by her husband, Ovila Leblanc, who died in 2001.

            She leaves her sons, Paul O. LeBlanc and his wife Linda of Gardner, and Maurice LeBlanc and his wife Cindy of Winchendon; daughters, Debra Comeau and her husband Ronnie of E. Templeton, and Denise LeBlanc of Gardner; brother, Albert Allain and his wife Jeannette of Moncton, NB Canada; sisters, Annette Allain and her husband John of Notre Dame, NB Canada, and Anne Marie LeBlanc and her husband Armand of Richibucto, NB Canada; grandchildren, Dylan and Cody Zarozinski, Rebecca Hewitt and Melissa Hunt; granddaughter-in-law, Tracey LeBlanc; great-grandchild, Kenna, Brenna, Ashlyn, Tucker and Laney; step-grandchildren, Deb McCrohon and Heather Owens; step-great-grandchildren, John Jr. and Rylee; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Gerry Allain; sister, Theresa Chevarie; and grandson, Eric LeBlanc.

            Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 9th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.  Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.

            Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 9th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

            Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Please reference in memory of Imelda R. Leblanc.
