Henry L"Hank" Robichaud

August 11, 1925 — January 2, 2017

Henry L. "Hank" Robichaud, 91, of Baldwinville, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, January 2, 2017 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on August 11, 1925, he was the son of the late Donat and Mary-Jane (LeBlanc) Robichaud.
Henry graduated from Massachusetts Electronic School in Boston in 1946. He received his GED in 1990 through the Operation Recognition via Gardner High School.
He was a United States WWII Navy Veteran and received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific ribbon with one star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.
Henry was employed by Stasukelis Appliance of Gardner as a Television Repairman for 30 years; he was previously employed by the Robichaud and Beauregard Appliance and TV of Gardner for 25 years.
Henry was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Henry was a 50 year member of the GFA Federal Credit Union of Gardner Board of Directors, where he served as Past Chairman. He was a member of the VFW Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner. He was a Cub Scout Leader for Pack 9 and Little League Baseball Coach in Gardner for many years. He was a member of the Gardner Municipal Golf Course from 1947 through 2008, and was a member of the Holy Rosary School Golf Tournament Committee for several years. Henry was an avid golfer who got a 'hole in one' in 1992, an accomplishment he was quite proud of.
Henry was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marian P. (Petitti) Robichaud, who died in 2002.
He leaves two sons, Gerald R. Robichaud and his significant other Janice BelleIsle of Hubbardston, and Roger L. Robichaud and his significant other, Kelly Fruit of Gardner; one brother, Paul Robichaud and his wife Irene of Orange; three sisters, Louise Frei and her husband Dr. Max Frei of Gardner, Lorraine Tollison of Hammond, Louisiana and Gertrude St. Clair of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Corey Silva of Gardner, Michael Robichaud of Gardner and Dylan Robichaud of LasVegas, Nevada; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sons, Michael H. Robichaud and Richard R. Robichaud; and by two brothers, Raymond "Pete" Robichaud and Roland Robichaud.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 7th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Friday, January 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
