Heather M Newton's Obituary

Heather M. (Hough) Newton, 56, of Orange, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on May 30, 1969, she was the daughter of the late Ronald G. and Margaret (Dinning) Hough. She was a proud graduate of Gardner High School, Class of 1987. Heather worked for many years as a dispatcher for the City of Gardner, a role she carried out with dedication until her retirement.
Heather was a devoted congregant of the Church of Christ in Leominster. She found great joy in the outdoors, whether relaxing by the pool or enjoying motorcycle rides. She also loved to travel and explore new places. She was a deeply devoted mother who took immense pride in her sons-she loved watching Rob race and found meaningful ways to honor Aaron, especially through motorcycle rides that kept his spirit alive. She shared a deep and loving bond with her husband, Bob, and together they built a life centered on family, love, and unwavering support for one another. She shared a special bond with her dear friends, Debra Martin and Marge Wilson, and was truly fortunate to have their love, companionship, and unwavering support throughout her life. Above all, Heather treasured time spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter.
Heather is survived by her beloved husband, Robert M. Newton Sr. of Orange; her son, Robert M. Newton Jr. and his wife, Kayla, of Dudley; her sister Unis Barret of Hubbardston; her brothers, Ronald G. Hough Jr. and his wife, Beatriz, of Weston, FL, and Rowdy W. Hough and his partner, Carolyn Murphy, of Templeton; her uncle, Michael Hough of Gardner; her in-laws, Paul and Jill Bacon of Westfield, Herbert and Chrissie Bacon of Denver, CO, David LaCroix of Barre, and Jason and Kim LaCroix of Oakham; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son, Aaron M. Newton, who passed in 2013, and her sister-in-law, Agnes Arleta Hough.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery on West Street in Gardner.
