Gloria J. (Theriault) Zutautas, 74, of Arlington, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, May 29, 2022, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, Worcester, surrounded by her family.

Born in Rumford, Maine on September 22, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Joseph Theriault and Helen Mary (Gaudet) Theriault. She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School, Templeton with the Class of 1965, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from University of Maine, Farmington. Gloria was a Substitute Teacher employed by Gardner Public Schools and the Ashburnham-Westminster School District working primarily in the Elementary Schools.

Gloria was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She enjoyed knitting and reading. Gloria’s greatest joy was her family, where she was always the family event coordinator, treasuring all time spent together.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 52-years, Richard Leo Zutautas of Arlington; two daughters, Marcia J.  Zutautas and her wife Annie Paradis of Turner Falls, and Maureen J. McCann and her husband Timothy of Arlington; a son, Michael J. Zutautas and his wife Susan of Gardner; four grandchildren, Zachary, Patrick, and Olivia McCann and Josey Paradis; three great-grandchildren, Drake, Lucas and Milo; two sisters, Brenda Dion of Gardner, and Melissa Theriault and her significant other Kevin Cormier of Phillipston; a brother Dennis Theriault and his wife Kathi of Ashburnham; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, June 7, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial Contribution may be made to Gardner Public Schools Backpack Program, 200 Catherine Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Please reference in memory of Gloria J. Zutautas.
