Born in Gardner on April 10, 1947, George was the son of the late Roger P. and Norma R. (Fucile) Couillard. He was a proud graduate of Narragansett Regional High School, with the Class of 1965. Later in life, George was employed by Mount Wachusett Community College, where he worked as an HVAC technician.

A proud veteran, George honorably served his country in the United States Army, from 1966 until 1969, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campagin Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and Overseas Service Medal.

Known by his children as "a jack of all trades," George enjoyed working on his tractors, attending car shows, visiting flea markets, and spending time with his firearms. He had a great love for animals-especially cats-and was often described as a bit of a "Doctor Dolittle." Above all, George treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
