Gale A. (Nelson) Normandin, 52, of 30 Watkins Rd., Gardner, died Thursday, April 6th following a long illness in UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by her family.
Born in Fitchburg on September 11, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Waino Nelson.
She was a 1971 graduate of Fitchburg High School.
Gale was very athletic and was also an artist.
She leaves her husband of 30 years, David R. Normandin; 1 son, Jeffrey D. Normandin; 1 daughter, Carly A. Normandin, all of Gardner; her mother, Claire (Hastings) Nelson of Fitchburg; 4 brothers, Ronald Nelson and wife Patricia, Stephen Nelson all of Fitchburg; Richard Nelson and wife Sandra of Hanford, CA, Theodore Nelson of Leominster; 1 sister, Jane Emma and husband Robert of Winchendon; 1 aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, April 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gardner High School Athletic Department, c/o Mr. Michael R. Baldassare, 200 Catherine St., Gardner, MA 01440.
