Obituary

Franklin A. Moschetti, 89, of Templeton, died peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his family, after a long illness.

Born in Gardner on September 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Alfred and Rosalie (Dupuis) Moschetti. Frank attended Gardner High School, leaving after his junior year to begin working. He was employed by Mead Containers for 15 years and later drove trucks for Huhtala Oil for 25 years. Throughout this time, Frank-alongside his wife, Joyce-proudly founded F.A. Moschetti & Sons in 1960 and dedicated over 65 years as its owner, operator, and president until his passing.

Frank attended mass at Holy Cross Church in Templeton. Frank also served the town he loved as a member of the Templeton Planning Committee for over 30 years and on the Building Committee for the Senior Center, as well as several other local boards. During his leisure time, he enjoyed flying weekly out of Fitchburg-having held his pilot's license for many years-riding his motorcycles, going for Sunday joy rides and tinkering and building around his home, even building a carriage for a replica Revolutionary War cannon. A history enthusiast, he never missed an opportunity to share what he had learned. Frank loved traveling and visited many destinations in the Caribbean and Canada. Joyce and Frank also spent many winters in the Florida Keys, as well as cross-country trips inboth his motorhome and on his motorcycle. He was an avid fan of his New England Patriots. He was also an excellent skier when he was younger and a member of the Athol Frog Men - a recreational scuba diving group that provided underwater search and rescue services for nearby towns. Above all, Frank's greatest joy was his family, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Frank is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Joyce A. (Lawrence) Moschetti, of Templeton; four sons, Mark A. Moschetti and his wife Julie, Peter A. Moschetti and his wife Cheryl, Kirk A. Moschetti, and Bruce A. Moschetti and his wife Theresa, all of Templeton; six grandchildren, Bruce A. Moschetti and his wife Elizabeth, Richard A., Franklin A., Dominic A., and Madasyn E. Moschetti; two sisters, Joyce St. Laurent of Gardner and Judy Gallant of Gardner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his pilot friends, Fred and Dennis.

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Moschetti, and his sister, Janice Consentino.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, Templeton, MA. A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held at a later date.

Per Frank's wishes, there are no calling hours; please go directly to the church on the day of the service.
