Forrest B. Gordon

Forrest B. Gordon, 75, of Gardner, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 1, 2020, in his residence.

Born in New York City, NY, on January 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Joseph and Virginia (Bacon) Gordon. He was a graduate of Elmsford High School, Elmsford, NY, with the Class of 1963. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran serving from 1964 to 1967. He was the owner and operator of Underwater Specialties in Homestead, FL, for many years until his retirement in 2017.

Forrest was a member of the Gardner Fish and Gun Club of Gardner. He was a jack of all trades. He was an expert marksman, who enjoyed muzzle loading, rifles, sharpshooting and target shooting. He loved to go hunting. Forrest loved the water and enjoyed going scuba diving. He was a dive instructor for many years. During his time in Florida, he owned a dive shop in the Florida Keys.

Forrest is survived by his wife of 38-years, Penelope H (Brown) Gordon of Gardner; two sons Dwight S. Hastings and his wife Christine of Gardner, and Gordon Calvin Hastings and his wife Ragan O’Malley of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Joseph Gordon; five grandchildren, Meghan, Jonathan, Calla, Aedan Grace, and Liam Hastings; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
