My sympathy to Sharyn, Alan and Eric on the loss of their dad. Thinking of the Holmlund family reminds me of wonderful days growing up in the Baldwinville area attending school and the Congregational Church. May all your memories of happy family times together bring you comfort and peace.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Holmlund. He was such a nice man and loved both him and Mrs. Holmlund. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Sharyn, Eric and Alan and their families. Love Rene

When we were little and the Holmlunds came to Maine to visit at Cold Stream Pond, Uncle Ernie whittled paddles for each of us to use out in the boat. I also remember a guinea pig who ate the middle out of a carrot..............no small feat! My husband is 100% Swede as well as a high tenor. Uncle Ernie gave him some Swedish songs which we still have. What a long full life he had. Blessings to you, Lannie, Sharyn and Ricky as you grieve your loss.

Susan and I really hated to hear of Uncle Ernie's passing.I really enjoyed the times when I was little spending time at their house in Baldwinville, spending time with Ernie,Blnche,Sharon,Ricky, and Lannie, as well as with Scout and Homer(their pets).Loved the times we got to go boating, too! Those were a lot of memories I will always cherish. I just wish that I could have been able to get up to Mass. more often to visit with him---really hated that I missed him last time was up there. Always looked forward to his coming to S.C. to visit Mom all those years on his way to Florida. Rest in Peace,Uncle Ernie----you will always be remembered! Thanks for all the great times you gave me! All of our love to the family. We will keep you in our prayers!

Uncle Ernie was a special man with a great love for all his family and his wonderful swedish heritage. We so enjoyed his and Blanche's visits to South Carolina on their way to or from visiting their son Ricky in Florida. There are so many memories that I especially cherish growing up and coming with my mother and brother to Massachusetts to visit. It was always a fun time especially with my cousins Alan, Sharyn, and Ricky and Uncle Ernie and Aunt Blanche. We send you prayers of peace and love to surround all the family. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you in the coming days especially on Saturday as you say your goodbyes. Love to all of you and a special thank you to Uncle Ernie for all his caring and love to our family. We have so many wonderful memories to cherish for years to come. All our love Horace and Tina Moss Barrett.

I have missed Uncle Ernie for MANY MANY years. Some of the fondest memories of my childhood included Ernie and Blanche during their visits to see us in SC every year. I also desired to make it up there to see him, but life got in the way of that intention. Based on the obituary, it seems I have a lot of family I need to meet one day ;)! I wish I could be there with you this Saturday, but I will be with you all in spirit. Prayers for comfort and grace to you all from our Heavenly Father.
