Elaine R. (Bastarache) Mallory, 64, of Lunenburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, after a period of declining health.

Born in Gardner on October 2, 1960, she was the daughter of M. Cecilia (Allain) Bastarache of Leominster and the late J. Arthur Bastarache. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1979 and worked in the plastics manufacturing industry in the packaging department for many years.

Elaine was a congregant of Horizons Christian Fellowship of Fitchburg and enjoyed staying active by working on crafts, reading, participating in online chat groups, and watching videos on the computer. Elaine also had a soft spot for cats, having had many throughout the years. Elaine's heart was always with her family, a love that was evident in the countless memories they shared.

Besides her mother, Elaine is survived by her four sisters, Diane Hastings of Phillipston, Annette Ingman and her husband Rick Franklin of Arizona, Jeanne Bastarache of Pennsylvania, and Rachel Brown and her husband Andrew of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Mae Mallory Hale of Greenfield and Colleen Mallory Wright of E. Dover, VT; two step-grandchildren, Ericka Wright and Melissa Wright; two step-great-grandchildren, Lily and Makayla; a sister-in-law, Alberta Mallory Simon and her life partner Aubrey Mills of Donalsonville, GA; a brother-in-law, Franklyn Ponte of South Lancaster; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and Clementine, her best friend and cat.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by her husband of 14 years, Wesley A. Mallory, who died in 2016, and her brother, Paul Bastarache.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
