Dolores J. Jaillet

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Dolores June Jaillet on New Years Eve 2023 at the age of 95.

Dolores was born August 12 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, to Christ and Ethel Moessinger. She married Philip Daniel Sweeney in 1948 in Chicago and he brought her to the hills of West Virginia where she bore him four children. They were married for 27 years when he died in 1976. She was then married to Harold Septime “Seppie” Jaillet for 38 years when he died in 2020.

Our mother was an excellent homemaker and was always available and happy to help her children and grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Her favorite pastimes were being with friends and family , shopping, and visiting the Westminster library. She missed all her friends who had passed, and we laughingly called her the “Last One Standing”.

Left to mourn her are children Sandra Kozlowski and her husband Kenneth, of East Templeton, Sharon Casavant of Westminster, James Sweeney, and his wife Deborah, of Rindge, NH, and Robert Sweeney, and his wife Patricia, of Pinnacle, NC. Stepdaughters Holly Ryan and Tracy Henneman. Grandchildren Roger Byron, Marcus Casavant, Tracy Casavant, Thia Hamilton, Jessica Gadarowski, Zachary Casavant, Carly Sweeney, Joshua Sweeney, and Ryan Cooley. Great grandchildren Aili, Noah, Luke, Tanner, Cassidy, Kaylee, Landon, Brianna, Cameron, Paige and two great great grandchildren.

A special thank you to all the staff at Gardner Nursing and Rehab and Hanover Hospice who gave her great care and kindness these last few months and to special friends “Library Sue” and Tyler Stone who lifted her spirits.
