I am saddened to hear of Deacon Roger's passing. I have such fond and grateful memories of this wonderful man. When my mother, Linda Perreault, was dying of cancer several years ago, he visited her frequently to pray with her and bring her communion. He would laugh and joke with her and our family as well, a comfort during a difficult time. It was a time in my life when I doubted God's presence, and he always told me it was not about your religion, it was about your faith, and to focus on Jesus because Jesus is love. That reminder has gotten me through many challenges since then. I am sure that Roger is in the presence of Jesus now. My prayers are with you all.
