David H. Lashua, 71, of Ashburnham, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born on May 2, 1955, he was the son of the late Howard F. and Gertrude (Ropulewis) Lashua. He graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1973 and later continued his education at Johnson & Wales College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration. For more than 40 years, David owned and operated Lashua, LaChance and Poliks Insurance alongside his brother, Peter, until their retirement in 2020.

David had a true sense of adventure and loved experiencing all that life had to offer. He was an avid skier who especially enjoyed helicopter skiing and cat skiing, was a founding member of Club Dead, and also found great enjoyment out on the water sailing. David had a special appreciation for Morgan horses and cherished attending shows to watch and support his daughter. Above all else, David's greatest love was his family, and he treasured the time spent together and the many memories they made throughout the years.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. (Sabettini) Lashua of Ashburnham; one son, Nicholas Tomasetti and his husband Christopher of Los Angeles; two daughters, Amanda Lashua of Boston, and Angela Tomasetti of Portland, Oregon; one grandson, James David Heywood-Tomasetti; one brother, Peter Lashua and his wife Kerstin of New Hampshire; one sister, Lynn (Lashua) Laroche of Westminster; his godson, Tim Laroche of Bend, Oregon; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Howard Lashua.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
