Bob is right on the money. I was 5 years behind David and he was an outstanding football player. As I kid, friends and I never missed an LHS sports game-all season sports. But what impressed me about Dave was that I had a paper route for the evening Record American in downtown Leominster. Called on all the bars; Little Kitchen, etc. Dave's family lived above one of the downtown retail shops, I think the Tankard. He was a customer for the Record. ALWAYS treated me well, with a smile. The paper was ten cents, always got a nickel tip from Dave. That was a good tip. Often times the upper classmen treated us punk kids like punk kids. David Cote never did. His kindness to me survives all these years. Salute to David.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was an outstanding athlete at Leominster High School, but more importantly, he was a great person. Rest In Peace,my friend.
