Darrell L. Richardson

Darrell L. Richardson, 69, of Gardner, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on February 9, 1954, he was the son of Rodney and Florence (Bilodeau) Richardson. He graduated from Berlin High School, Berlin, NH, and joined the United States Army serving from 1973 to 1974 during the Vietnam Era. Darrell proudly received the National Defense Service Medal, the Expert Rifle Bar, and the Sharpshooter Badge with Grenade Bar. Darrell was a self-employed photographer for many years.

Darrell was proud of receiving his black belt in karate. He was a fan of the arts, excelling at photography, painting, acrylics, pastel, and chalk. Darrell found peace in the nature around him, enjoying taking hikes with his camera to capture the best shots.  He had a deep respect for Native American culture. After spending time on a reservation, Darrell was able to learn and practice their beliefs and traditions. In doing so, he gained a heightened spiritual connection to the land.

Darrell is survived by his siblings, Steven, Scott, Lance and Ronda Richardson.
