Daniel J. Gary, 50, of 20 Streeter Rd., Hubbardston, died Monday in UMASS-Memorial Health Care, University Campus, Worcester, following an illness.
Born in Gardner on April 14, 1953, he was the son of William F. Gary Sr. and the late Rose (Hough) Gary.
He was a manager employed by Digital Mfg. Corp. of Westminster for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a 1971 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School. He enjoyed playing softball in Gardner Recreational Leagues.
Besides his father of Hubbardston, he leaves 1 son, Dean J. Gary of Ashburnham; 1 daughter, Debra I. Austin of Baldwinville; 2 brothers, William F. Gary Jr. of Douglas and Steven M. Gary of Greenfield; 1 granddaughter, Joelle M. Austin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner.
Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton, will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 495 Old Connecticut Path, Suite 220, Framingham, MA 01701.
