Constance L"Connie" Hamel
Connie was born in Gardner on December 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Ernest and Olivine (Beaudet) Langlois.
She was member of St. Martin's Church of Otter River, and its Woman's Club.
Connie was a self-employed seamstress for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She loved bowling and was the Secretary of the Templeton Women's Bowling League. Connie especially treasured spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Connie was predeceased by her husband, Alexis Hamel, who died in 2001.
She leaves three sons, John E. Hamel and his wife Carolyn of Baldwinville, Ronald L. Hamel and his wife Sharron of Gardner and Brian J. Hamel and his wife Linda of Machiasport, Maine; two daughters, Janice T. Martin of Baldwinville with whom she lived along with Janice's twin daughters, and Linda M. Heston and her husband Duane of Oskaloosa, KS; two brothers, Leo Langlois and his wife Ramona of Lawrence, KS and Eugene Langlois of Oxford, MA; four sisters, Jacqueline Langlois of Gardner, C. Simone Langlois of Gardner, Leonne Perreault of Gardner, and Paulette Bergeron and her husband George of Arundel, Maine; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Connie was predeceased by four brothers, James, Roland, Ernest, Jr and George Langlois; and by two sisters, Estelle Griffin and Joan Hamel.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 14th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Martin's Church, 248 State Road, Otter River. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 13th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. Please reference in memory of Constance L. Langlois.

Sooooo many memories of my entire life have been around "Mrs Down Hamel"! I often wonder where all the Kings would be today without her! She made us all better, kind, choir singers, religious!!!! To my entire second family, we celebrate each of you and share in your grief! To Sarah, Angie, Janice a special thank you for all your devotion, sacrifice, love you girls are going straight to heaven!!! How blessed are we to have sat at her kitchen table all these years, let's continue doing that in her honor. I love you guys!!! Michelle xoxo
