Claudette A .Gallant

Claudette A. (Babineau) Gallant, 83, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, December 13, 2021, in Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after a battle with dementia.

Born in Gardner on December 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Irene (Desmarais) Babineau. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1955. Claudette was an Assembler employed by Simplex Time Recorder for 24-years until her retirement in 1999. In her retirement, she was a self-employed home healthcare aid. She was previously employed at H&R of Gardner.

Claudette was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and of Higher Grounds Ministry of Gardner. She was an avid reader and often read the Bible. Claudette also loved cooking and working on crossword puzzles. She loved to travel, especially to her favorite destination, Booth Bay Harbor. The time she treasured the most, though, was with her family.

Claudette is survived by her two daughters, Vickie L. Crockett and her husband William of Baldwinville, Julie A. LaRoche of Hubert, NC; four sons, Steven H. Gallant of Gardner, Mark R. Gallant of Gardner, Daniel J. Gallant and his significant other Lourie Curtis of North Attleboro, and David A. Gallant and his wife Kathy of Gardner; eight grandchildren, Corey, and Amy Taylor, Lindsey Levesque and her husband Josh, Abbi LaRoche, Ryan, Vanessa, Brooke, and Jared Gallant; three great-grandchildren, Lynn, Maggie, and Samuel Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59-years, Roland J. Gallant, who died in 2016; her brother Robert E. Babineau.

Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
