Claire H. (Beauregard) Bourque, 93, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after an illness with her son, David, and his wife, Susan, by her side.

Born in Gardner on December 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clement H. Beauregard, Sr., and Emma F. (Caouette) Beauregard. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1946. Claire was a Cafeteria Worker employed by Oakmont Regional High School for 8-years prior to her retirement in 1978.

Claire was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner, where she was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne Society, its Mother Riviere Oratory and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member and past president of the American Legion Post 129 Women’s Auxiliary of Gardner. She had many enjoyments throughout the years, including playing cards, knitting, reading, puzzles, gardening, animals, and traveling—especially camping. Claire’s greatest joy came when she was with her family, always treasuring the special times they had together.

Claire is survived by a son, David A. Bourque and his wife Susan of Milford, NH; a granddaughter, Megan Parker and her husband Jeremy of Gardner; three great-grandchildren, Aria Parker, Emma Maylin, and Anderson Smith-Cote; a sister, Carleen M. Beauregard of Gardner; a granddaughter-in-law, Lissa M. Smith-Cote; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63-years, Leo A. Bourque, who died in 2011; a son, Steven L. Bourque, who died in 1987; a daughter, Denise A. Harris, who died in 2014; a grandson, Jason Cote, who died in 2021; three brothers, Robert and Vernon Beauregard, and Clement Beauregard, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Willy Harris.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving and compassionate care.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

A Calling Hour will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
