Claire L. Bishop

Claire L. (Barrows) Bishop, 90, of Templeton, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, July 24, 2023, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville, after a short illness.

Born in South Royalston on April 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Milton L. and Loretta C. (Daneault) Barrows. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1951. She was employed by Union Twist Drill, Bards and Walmart.

Claire enjoyed playing cards and working on word searches. Most important to Claire was being a homemaker, whose family was her greatest joy, treasuring all the special moments they had together throughout the years.

Claire is survived by her daughter, Cindy Towle and her husband Alan of Wales; a son Glenn C. Bishop III and his wife Rhonda of South Royalston; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn C. Bishop Jr., who died in 1981; a son, Michael A. Bishop, who died on June 6, 2023; and a sister, Judith Blais.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
