Claire D. (LeBlanc) Baublis, 73, of Gardner passed away, Sunday, February 9, 2020, in HCA Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge.
Born in Gardner on March 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Ovila G. and Dorothy I. (Gonthier) LeBlanc. She was a graduate of Gardner High School with the Class of 1963. She was employed by the Gardner School District as a secretary for the former Prospect Street and Helen Mae Sauter Schools for several years until her retirement in 2011.
Claire was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers. Claire loved to go golfing and to boat. She was an avid reader, but the time Claire loved and cherished the most was time spent with her family and her grandchildren.
Claire is survived by two sons, Anthony J. Baublis, Jr. and his wife Bethany of Westborough and Alan J. Baublis and his wife Carla of Kalamazoo, MI; one daughter, Deborah A. Robichaud and her husband Scott of Templeton; one sister Ann Woodland and her husband John of Tarpon Springs, FL; eight grandchildren, Elise C. Robichaud, Andrew J. Baublis, Aaron J. Baublis, Owen S. Robichaud, Alek J. Baublis, Celia P. Baublis, Abrahm J. Baublis, and Lilla M. Baublis; one aunt Pauline Perla of Leominster; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50-years, Anthony J. Baublis, Sr., who died in 2015.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 14, 2020, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, at the convenience of the family.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
