June 22, 1951 — March 7, 2021

Charles “Charlee” A. Morgan, 69, of Gardner, died suddenly, Sunday, March 7, 2021, peacefully at his home in Gardner.

Born in East Templeton on June 22, 1951, he was the son of Mary J. (Borey) Morgan and the late Thomas R. Morgan. He was a graduate of Gardner High School with the Class of 1969. Charlee later graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1971 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was also a member of the Wentworth basketball team. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an Application Engineer at Simplex Time Recorder, which later became JCI. Charlee was an employee there for 45-years until his retirement in 2017.

Charlee was a member of the Woodsman Rifle and Pistol Club of Athol and enjoyed outings at the shooting range. He loved to listen to music and take long car rides while enjoying the scenery of New England. Charlee found joy in taking walks in the woods with his dog, Aengus. You could often find him enjoying drinks with friends at the Blueprint on Friday nights. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed playing basketball on Friday nights at Waterford Street School and cherished his time as a member of the Mountain Boys Softball team. Charlee was the number one fan of his daughters’ various sports teams and could always be found standing on the sidelines cheering their teams on. Family was everything to Charlee and he was always looking for a reason to get together to celebrate family milestones.
