Catherine M. (Richard) Burke, 95, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, died Sunday in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner.
Born in Fitchburg on July 31, 1908, she was the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Gallant) Richard.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Mrs. Burke enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Her husband, Frederick Burke, died in 1974.
She leaves a daughter-in-law, Judith J. Burke of Gardner; 4 grandchildren, Julie Burke, Lisa Zercoe, Robert Burke and Ann-Marie Ouellet; 2 great-grandchildren, Autumn Ouellet and Michael Ouellet; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Robert F. Burke of Gardner who died in 2001 and 4 brothers, Albine, Jacques, Frederick and Leo Richard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
