Carol M. Putnam

Carol M. Putnam, 81, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, February 27, 2023, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner, after a period of declining health.

Born in Gardner on July 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Rita (Landry) Putnam. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1960. Carol worked in customer service at Greenwood Memorial Pool for several years.

Carol was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner, where she was very active in the church community and a member of its Prayer Meeting Board. In her younger years, Carol had a “need for speed,” driving around in her muscle car. Carol was a music and animal lover, and enjoyed going to musical performances and other activities at the nursing home, her favorite being BINGO. Her greatest joy was when she was with her family, treasuring all the special moments together.

Carol is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister, Priscilla M. Thibault; and her brother, Ronald Putnam.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
