Carol A Couture

Carol A. (Wilder) Couture, 65, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, September 9, 2016 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, following a long illness.
Carol was born in Gardner on May 27, 1951, the daughter of the late Richard and Marion (Kimball) Wilder.
She graduated from Narragansett Regional High School of Baldwinville with the Class of 1969.
Carol was employed by the City of Gardner Public School System as a bus monitor for several years.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Gardner.
Carol enjoyed knitting, crocheting, shopping and loved going to the beach. She treasured spending time with her family, and was a proud and loving grandmother to her granddaughter Tessa.
Carol leaves her husband of 47 years, Michael G. Couture of Gardner; one son, Brian M. Couture and his wife Amy of Gardner; two brothers, Eugene Wilder and his wife Virginia of Templeton and Kenneth Wilder and his wife Dorothy of E. Templeton; sister-in-law, Linda Wilder-Nelson of Gardner; granddaughter, Tessa A. Couture; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Richard Wilder.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 28th at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery of Templeton.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gardner Relay for Life, 43 Nagog Park, Suite 110, Acton, MA 01720.

We first met over 50 years ago at the end of that dirt road in Otter River where you called home. We shared many laughs back then and will always be remembered. Now that your struggle with cancer is over. May you Rest in Peace you will be missed!! My sincere condolences to the family. John Cormier

My love, prayers and condolences go to the whole family, extended family and friends of Carol. Carol fought a long hard battle with her cancer. She remained upbeat and positive right until the end and now deserves rest and peace. She will be greatly missed.
