Carol A. Alves

Carol A. (Pardee) Alves, 79, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, December 6, 2021, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.

Born in Gardner on September 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Eben and Francis (Dembek) Pardee. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1960 and attended the Ward School for Accounting. Carol was Clerk in the Accounts Receivable at Simplex Time Recorder Co. for 30-years until her retirement. Carol along with her husband Roland owned and operated Hy-Time Coffee Shop for several years. She was previously employed by the Heywood-Wakefield Co. of Gardner.

Carol was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner. She enjoyed creating all types of crafts, and cake decorating. Carol’s family was her everything, treasuring all the special times they spent together, especially babysitting especially for her family.

Carol is survived by her husband of 59-years, Roland J. Alves of Gardner; a daughter, Donna M. Heglin of Athol; three sons, Michael J. Alves and his wife Margaret of San Diego, CA, Mark A. Alves and his wife Abigail of Cohasset, Jason A. Alves and his wife Lisa of Sharon; nine grandchildren, Alexandra Davis-Osborne and her husband Matthew, Rebecca Alves, Jordan Davis, Samantha, Melissa, Olivia, Michael, Andrew, and Grace Alves; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Leadbetter of Templeton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by one brother-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA, will be held at a later date.

A Calling Hour will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
