Camille J. Daigle, 93, of Westminster, died peacefully Saturday, March 2, 2024, after a short illness with his family by his side.
Born in Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, on August 31, 1930, he was the son of the late Joseph and Celina (Ouellet) Daigle. Camille was a man of many talents that spent many years as a draftsman and sample maker of furniture in the greater Gardner community before his retirement in 1995.
Camille was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church of Westminster. Camille enjoyed staying active by playing golf, bowling, playing pool, building furniture and grandfather clocks and painting. He loved to travel, visiting many different sites throughout the years. Camille’s greatest joy was his family, and cherishing the time spent together.
Camille is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rita (Jaillet) Daigle of Westminster; a son, Alan M. Daigle, and his wife Mary of Southbridge; a daughter, Lori A. Grasser and her husband Jay of Westminster; four grandchildren, Kristi, and Hannah Daigle, Nicholas, and Emily Grasser; one great grandchild Scarlett Daigle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Gerald, Arthur, Joseph, and Levi Daigle; and four sisters, Beatrice Nowlan, Egunie Cormier, Mary Legere, and Margerite Richard.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Edward’s the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
