Brian H. Avedisian, of Hubbardston, died peacefully on his 64th birthday on Saturday, May 31, 2025, after an illness with his family by his side.

Born in Worcester on May 31, 1961, he was the son of the late James Sr. and Mary (Meskowski) Avedisian. He graduated from Doherty Memorial High School with the Class of 1979 and attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute to receive his journeyman electrician license. Brian proudly served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard serving from 1989 until he was medically retired in 1993, receiving the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon and the Army Component Achievement Medal. Brian was an electrician employed by Athol Hospital for many years.

Brian loved model building-making various trains, planes, and cars throughout the years. He also greatly enjoyed playing cards, short target shooting, and attending races at the Westborough Speedway.

Brian is survived by his wife of 21 years, Theresa A (Bouchard) Avedisian of Hubbardston; a brother, James Avedisian Jr. and his wife Carol of Millbury; nieces, Judith, Jeanne, and Virginia; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Caouette; and a nephew, Robert Cauoette Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.

There are no calling hours, please report directly to the church on the day of the services.
