Blanche E. Meskauskas

Blanche E. (Duquette) Meskauskas, 97, of Baldwinville, died peacefully Monday, May 28, 2018 in Baldwinville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness with dementia.
Blanche was born in Fall River on September 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Phillipe and Mary (Dupre) Duquette.
She was employed as a Charge Attendant for Worcester State Hospital and Gardner State Hospital for many years, retiring in 1984. Following her retirement, Blanche worked part-time in Heywood Hospital's Food Services Department and also was a volunteer at the hospital.
Blanche was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner. She was also a member of Gardner Golden Agers.
She enjoyed knitting, playing Scrabble and doing word puzzles. Blanche also enjoyed listening to music and traveling. She loved spending time with her family.
Blanche was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Frank J. Meskauskas who died April 15, 2001; two sons, Anthony P. Meskauskas who died in 2013 and James F. Meskauskas who died in 1963; and sister, Lillian Johnson.
She leaves two sons, Frank D. Meskauskas of Hubbardston and Daniel P. Meskauskas and his wife Lola of Templeton; one daughter, Karen Beaton and her husband John of Gardner; six grandchildren, Dennis Meskauskas, April LeBlanc, Angela Johnson, Collins Beaton, Corey Beaton and Jenny Meskauskas.; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Friday, June 1st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 Fifth Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451 or to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Please reference in memory of Blanche Meskauskas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Baldwinville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to Blanche over the years.
