Arthur J Boudreau

Arthur J. Boudreau, 81, of Gardner, died suddenly Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner.

Born in Gardner on May 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Dominique O. and Emma (Champagne) Boudreau.

Arthur graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1955. He was employed as the first Assistant Clerk Magistrate for the Gardner District Court, a position which he held for 32 years, retiring in 2002. He was previously the head meat cutter for the former City Market of Gardner for 19 years. He also served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for eight years.

Arthur was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner, and was also a member of the Napoleon Club of Gardner. His family was the most important aspect of his life and he truly treasured his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Ann (Lampert) Boudreau who died in 2013.

Arthur leaves his son, Michael J. Boudreau of Gardner; daughters, Maureen A. St. Hilaire and her husband Scott of Gardner, and Maryann Desmarais and her husband Timothy of Gardner; sisters, Sister Marian Therese, Elaine Ehrhart and Annette Plump all of NJ; grandchildren, Jeffrey St. Hilaire, Meghan Casson, Erin Ventura, Emily Marion, Danielle Lawrence and Nathan Boudreau; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Evan Casson, Reagan and Ana Ventura and Benjamin Lawrence; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Boudreau and Wilfred Boudreau.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 3rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
