Anita F. Duplease

Anita F. (Plante) Duplease, 95, of Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, February 2, 2024, at Alliance Health at Baldwinville, with her family by her side.

She was born in Winchendon on April 2, 1928, the daughter of the late George E. and Josephine L. (Girouard) Plante. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Winchendon.

Throughout her life, Anita was a homemaker who loved sewing, gardening and cooking. She enjoyed time spent with her family, camping trips along the East Coast, and picnics in her backyard. She was a beautiful, strong, intelligent, kind and loving person.

She leaves four children; Sharon M. Courtemanche and her husband Bruce, Judith A. Moriarity and her late husband Walter, Linda M. Gleason and her husband Brent, and Donald E. Duplease Jr. and his wife Pamela, all residents of Winchendon; three siblings, Alice Tousignant, Beatrice Morgan and Eugene Plante; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Anita is preceded in her passing by her husband of 75 years, Donald E. Duplease, and her daughter Nancy Anita, as well as seven siblings, Walter Plante, Antoinette Plante, Arthur Plante, Florence Plante, Claire Johnson, Francis Plante, and Maurice Plante.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon, MA. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA, in the spring at the convenience of the family.
