Gardner

Andre J. Bergeron, 67, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on October 27, 1956, he was the son of Aline (Cormier) Bergeron of Fitchburg and the late Andrew Bergeron. Andre graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School of Fitchburg with the Class of 1975. Andre was CNC programmer engineer employed by Nypromold of Clinton for several years. He was previously employed by Mar-lee Mold of Leominster.

Andre was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was an avid sports fan of his grandchildren and loved to watch movies. Andre’s family was truly his greatest blessing in his life, especially his children and grandchildren, who along with his wife Mirella were their biggest supporters.

Besides his mother, Andre is survived by his wife of 41-years Mirella M. (Richard) Bergeron of Gardner; a son, Ryan E. Bergeron and his wife Hailee of Baldwinville; a daughter, Andrea L. McAllister and her husband Jason of Athol; five grandchildren, Emma and Greyson McAllister, Noah, Cameron and Mallory Bergeron; a sister, Annette Provo and her husband James of Leominster; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Bergeron of Fitchburg; several nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Alan Bergeron.

The family would like to personally thank Dr. Mark Alan Stewart Garret and all the nurses and staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Michael Mutchler, Care Central VNA Hospice, and Compassionate Care ALS, for all the care they provided to Andre.
