Jessica Ares

Jessica Lynne (Callahan) Ares, 39, of Gardner, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 29, 2021, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—University Campus, Worcester, due to complications from surgery.

Born in Leominster on November 18, 1981, she was the daughter of David Callahan and the late Audrey (Fossett) Callahan. She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1999 and received her Associates in Nursing from Mount Wachusett Community College in 2005 and later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021. At the time of her passing, Jessica was a Registered Nurse employed by Heywood Hospital of Gardner for several years.

Jessica was a person of many passions. She enjoyed travelling, working on puzzles, and sitting in the sun soaking up its rays. She loved her cats Callie, Leo, Oliver, and Autumn. She loved lip gloss and always made sure that her lips were perfect and glossy. Jessica was a jokester and loved to poke fun at her family and friends. But the time that she loved and cherished the most was spent with her husband Kurt and their children, with whom she was planning the future with.

Besides her father David Callahan of Gardner, Jessica is survived by her husband and soulmate of nearly 3-years, Kurt M. Ares of Gardner; two daughters, Paige M. Taylor, and Sophia R. Taylor; a son, Ryan P. Taylor; two stepdaughters, Sydney K. Ares, and Charlotte M. Ares; paternal grandmother, Betty (Lassig) Callahan of Leominster; a sister, Stacey A. Callahan of Gardner; two uncles, Steve Callahan, and Tom Callahan; and several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
