Barbara F (Tenney) Watson

April 29, 1942 ~ July 13, 2018 (age 76)

Barbara E. “Babs” (Tenney) Watson, 76, of Winchendon, died peacefully Friday, July 13, 2018 in Heywood Hospital of Gardner, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.

                Born in Winchendon on April 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Evelyn (Thibeault) Tenney.

                Barbara graduated from Murdock High School of Winchendon with the Class of 1960. She was employed by Cablevision of Winchendon as a Secretary and Office Manager for 16 years, retiring in 2000.

                Barbara was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church of Winchendon. She was also a member of ASPCA.

                Barbara enjoyed needlepoint, crafts and making puzzles. She enjoyed watching ‘Judge Judy’, ‘Judge Mathis’, ‘Family Feud’ and ‘Deal or No Deal’ on television; and Barbara loved her cats ‘Oreo’ and ‘Molly’.

                She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Keith E. Watson, who died November 16, 2007.

                Barbara leaves three sons, James Dean Hagan and his wife Candi of Washington, Brian A. Hagan, Sr. and his wife Heidi of Templeton and Alvin G. Watson, Sr. and his girlfriend, Jennifer Salam of Winchendon; three daughters, Lora M. St. Pierre and her husband Kevin of Supply, NC, Keitha V. Girard and her husband Gregory of Supply, NC and Susan L. Hewett and her husband Billy of Supply, NC; one brother, Brad Tenney of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Tenney and Linda Tenney; ten grandchildren, Alvin Watson, Jr., Donna Hagan, Brian Hagan, Jr., Tiki Dewing, Becki Landry, Chelsea St. Pierre, Travis St. Pierre, Todd Girard, Alex Girard and Logan Girard; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Guy Tenney and Ronald Tenney.

                Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.

                There are no calling hours.
